Dynamic blocks not working at all in my v14 -is there some sort of switch?

 I realize that V14 does not support editing dynamic blocks, but it does support using them.  I even seem to recall a few years ago, experimenting with them.

I recently was given access to a commercial seat of AutoCAD.2016.  I created a DBlock, and saved it as v13.  But, when I insert the block into my BricsCAD v15, and click it, there are no icons to manipulate the DBlock in any way.

Is there perhaps some sort of toggle to enable/disable the use of dynamic blocks?

    You have to look in the Properties Bar under 'Custom' and make your changes there.

     Thank you for that help  I had searched the help file on dynamic blocks, but there was nothing I could find that said the DBlock had to be edited on the properties bar.
