Polylines printing hollow?

I have an issue with polylines printing hollow when printed from model space; they print properly from paper space. They also properly display as solid in model space, just won't print as displayed. I have played with UCS, fillmode and shade mode with no solution.

    That's something I explored as well, as there are "shade plot" options when printing from model space (where I'm having the problem), but it is greyed-out when printing from paper space (where it works properly)... it is set to "legacy wireframe" in model space, so I thought this would be the problem, but when I tried some of others, I created bigger problems... "legacy wireframe" looks the best, except for the polyline fill. Any ideas on which to try? If it matters, I use monochrome.ctb, unless I'm provided with alternative plot styles.

    It depends on what you want to print.
    For 2D:
    Visual style (as shown in the Properties Bar): 2dWireframe.
    Shade plot: As displayed.
