How to Break a Circle from the Intersection with a line?

Hi Guys,
I need to trim a part of a circle, But I can't!
It should be trimmed from the intersections it has with the lines
the Trim tool doesn't work.
There's a picture attached that might explain better.
I should say that I'm just a student, and I'm not a professional

    The entity you are trying to trim is a region not a circle. Regions cannot be trimmed. To turn it into a circle use the _Explode command.
