Jpeg Logo
for years I have inserted different company logo's into my standard drawing templates using Insert > Insert Object
This lets me insert a jpeg into a drawings template, but it uses the jpeg file that is stored on my hard drive every time I open those dwg files
A old customer started a new company and has asked me to make new templates that all of his cad monkeys can use, so I need to insert a jpg that is stored in a dwg file, and haven't been able to figure it out
Could someone point me in the right direction on how to do this
Thanks
Mark

Is the image selectable?
Is the FRAME variable set to 1 or 2?
If selectable, you should be able to copybase / paste into another dwg or your graphics program for editing.0 -
Get the image onto the Windows clipboard via SelectAll and Copy in a graphics editor or viewer, and then use "Paste Special" to paste it into a DWG file. It comes in as an OLE object rather than as an externally referenced image.
Note that it makes the DWG file very large, much larger than the original JPEG file.0 -
Given the technology available to those who must use the DWG format, your best choice is to re-create the logo, or a simplification of it, using native AutoCAD entities. So, it is limited to using things like lines, polylines, hatches, etc. This way it will not swell your drawing file size, and will stay internal to the drawing.-joe0

If you cant make it work. Zoom in PrintScreen and paste in paint save a new copy.0
