Tracing images and snapping to edge of tiles

We are using PointCAD to bring laser scan data into Brics for tracing of floor plans, but when we turn the image frame off (set to zero) the cursor still snaps to the edges of the individual tiles / images and this is really annoying, any ideas how to get around this?

    I have investigated this further... AutoCAD have a command which is "FRAMESELECTION" and need to set this to zero, but BricsCAD doesn't seem to have an equivalent? Can anyone help?
