File name restrictions for PDF attachments? ASCII only?

Are there any documented restrictions for PDF filenames which are going to be attached to a drawing?

In BricsCAD Version 17.1.20 (x64) Revision 47302 (Linux) I can't attach a PDF file named "Beispiellösung.pdf" unless I rename it to a pure ASCII name like "x.pdf".
