Delete command problem

Hi! I'm using BricscadV12, and suddenly have this problem: when trying to use the delete-command, nothing happens. It's the same if I type the commannad or use the red cross at the tools-palette. I have to close the program and open it again to be able to use the delete command again. Then it works for some time, but I had to re-open the cad several times only today, and it's starting to annoy me quite a bit. Has anyone any idea what has happened and can a non-nerd fix the problem? The V12 has been working very well for couple of years, I don't understand why now this odd problem!

What about pressing E , does that start an erase command?
