Why I use the _slice command from the quadcursor bricscad v17.2.04(x64) open the "block definition" window?

I cannot reproduce the problem. Can you file a support request and add a drawing you are having the problem with?

After watching the video I can reproduce the problem. It occurs only when the Select Faces option of the SelectionModes variable is not set.
To correctly execute the Slice command do the followng:

• make sure the Select Faces option of the SelectionModes system variable is set.
• press and hold the Ctrl-key when hovering over the solid you want to slice, then click the select the solid.
• select the slice command in the Quad.
• identify the cutting face.

I will inform our developers. Thank you for reporting.

I see the same block creation dialog,
with correct selection mode settings,
when I just select the first object but then press Cancel in the prompt menu.
