Drawing Explorer loses focus, can’t type anything

I currently can’t enter anything into input fields of the Drawing Explorer, if (and only if) the Drawing Explorer has been invoked by right-clicking a text or dimensioning style name in the status line and selecting the menu item "properties". The window loses focus immediately after being displayed, and I can’t get the focus back, even if I click into it.

Gnome 3 Desktop, Ubuntu Linux 17.04, BricsCAD Version 17.1.20 (x64) Revision 47302

Can anyone reproduce this behaviour?
