Zoom in/out and pan lags with mouse wheel

I am using a trial version of v17 to decide if I want to purchase.
I am noticing a severe lag in zooming in/out and panning with the mouse wheel.
I have an HP Z800 workstation with (2) Zeon processors, (2) Nvidia Quadro graphics card and 32 MBI ram so I don't think it is a hardware problem.
Are there settings I should be changing. could the type or brand of mouse be a factor. I hope this can be solved so I can go ahead and purchase.

    If you file a support request and attach a sample drawing that allows to reproduce the severe lag, our analysts will be glad to investigate the issue and help out. Please note that you are entitled to file support requests also while evaluating BricsCAD, no need to have already made the purchase.

    Thanks for the response. I changed my mouse and it seems to have improved.
