Projected and section views lost after opening in other software

Hello,

During the use of the software I faced the following problem: I made a 3D model, created some views, section and detailed view of it and saved. When I tried to open it either with AutoCAD or other CAD softwares, the lines of the projection or section disappeared. However, the lines were still visible on the thumbnail but once I opened the file, they were gone. Has anybody else met this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Andris

  • I've had the same problem in both bricscad and Autocad Inventor fusion. In the drawing view menu there is an option to "Export Drawing Views" This will convert you drawings on your layout space to drawings in model space either in that file or another one depending on you choices. Problem is though, it doesn't export you annotation, so then you've got to cut and paste all your annotation into another drawing. By the way thumbnail is only a saved image created at save time. Not quite the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
