Selection Highlight Style

Is it possible to disable highlighting entities under cursor when hovering by mouse?
(By default entities under cursor get dashed and/or thickened; they are undashed/unthickened when mouse cursor moves elsewhere.)
I'd like to restore "ancient" behaviour when entities didn't react on mouse/cursor position until they were picked/selected.

In the dialog of the _Settings command there is a search field. If you search for 'highlight' you will find: SELECTIONPREVIEW.

You will also have to switch off the Quad.
