Setting a layer as current sets text, line styles, colours etc

Is there a way that a particular layer has the text style set along with a set line style including colours to match please?
That way any text entered in that layer set as current immediately takes on the attributes of a default text style for that layer.
(hopefully explained in layman's terms my desires)
Thanks

  • You can use the tool palette to create text on a particular layer, using a particular style. This is the opposite way around to your description, but is easy to setup. To do it the way around you describe would require programming.

  • Thanks Jason. I'll do as suggested.
I did suspect that to be the case.
I have a graphics program that has layer overrides that can be toggled.
Cad could benefit from that. Well for my use.
