Restraining Distance command to 2D - Now Fixed

I have a lot of data that is 3D but only want to know the horizontal distance from A to B.
Using '_dist gives the slope distance dependant on setting below.

OSNAPZ = 0, Z coordinates are recognized
OSNAPZ=1, Z coordinates are ignored

Is there a way to have both shown - ie as below but with Delta Z = 'true difference' ?

Distance = 189.303, Angle in XY Plane = 198°3'45", Angle from XY Plane = 0°0'0"
Delta X = -179.974, Delta Y = -58.694, Delta Z = 0.000

Thanks
Richard

  • I see there's a snap setting to ignore the Z value.
    That's brilliant.
    I'd never noticed that before.
    Makes things a lot easier all round.
