polyline grips

editing polylines with grips:
in Autocad there is the possibility to directly edit
add vertex
remove vertex
move
stretch
convert to curve
convert to line

depending on editing the middle or the vertex grip.
or using the tab key to cycle thru all possibilities.

is there something similar in bricscad?

  • Yes if you hover your mouse over a line then hold ctrl down on you keyboard the quad will change and you will have the option to do all of the things you have mentioned. Just make sure you let go of ctrl before selecting the command from the quad.

    Thank You Benjamin!
It was a little bit tricky to get it work, cause you don't have to activate the polyline, its a little bit different.
now it works, but I still miss remove vertex or convert to line :-(

  • The 'Remove segment' option of the PEDITEXT command actually removes the nearest vertex, and 'adjust Bulge' followed by Return converts arc segments to lines.

    Great, Thank You!

  • I found it helpful to increase AttractionDistance a little to help magnet to the grip points. Mine is now set to 6, default I think was 4.
