Problems inserting blocks

Recently upgraded to 17.2.12 Classic Edition. Use Bricscad primarily for 2D drafting. I have several drawings that have multiple blocks in them. When I go to insert a embedded block, I choose one form the pull down dialog box and get the "BricsCAD is unable to complete this operation." error.

Does anybody have a clue what is going on here?

    Dear Mr. Harbottle, can you file a support request and add a drawing you are having this issue with? Our analysts will be glad to investigate the problem.

    I have had this occasionally as well. Version 17.2.12 64 bit Pro. I suspect it may have to do with blocks that have been recently created or copied into the open drawing.

    If I save the file, close it and reopen it, it seems to work again. Also you might try restarting BricsCAD.

    Also, I noticed that when I get this error from the insert dialog box, that sometimes I can still insert blocks from the explorer window by right clicking on them.
