Block redefine dialog not showing

I don't know what I fiddled with (I have been trying out some new lips routines) but now when I try to add a block from the Drawing Explorer that I have previously inserted, I now get a command line message "The block ECMA B1004 Foldover edge with webs already exists. Do you want to redefine it? [Yes-Redefine block(Yes)/No-Do not redefine(No)] :"
as opposed to a dialog box.

How do I get the dialog box back?

Many Thanks in advance.

  • Either CMDDIA or FILEDIA (or both) got reset to zero. Set them both back to 1.

  • Owen,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately I already had these set to 1.

I have subsequently noticed that if I type "Insert" and navigate to the file the dialog displays as it should.

It is only when I use the Drawing Explorer and right click on the file and "insert drawing as block " that the command line displays.

It could have always have been like this, but I can't recall.
