Inability to import from mechanical browser.

Hi guys, I'm having trouble bringing standard components into a drawing that already contains a solid model. I was trying to mimic an online tutorial and was unable to. I'm not sure if:

  1. I'm doing something wrong.
  2. My version16 has a bug.
  3. My computer (Windows 10, 1.9Ghz processor, 8Gb Ram, 64bit) doesn't have enough power/memory.
  4. A combination of all of the above.

I've attached a video so that you can see exactly what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Anybody?

  • I kind of sort of vaguely remember something like that. Fixes, errrr rather vague on that.

A work-around would be to use a scratch drawing as a temporary landing site. After importing the block, switch over to the scratch drawing and create the standard part there, then cut and paste to the main drawing. Not ideal but that should work in all cases.

It's possible that the Dynamic UCS (DUCS) setting is interfering somehow. I don't think that's the issue but it's an easy thing to check.
