Bricscad similarities ?
While trying to get used to Linux I tumbled over Ares Commander.
As it also looks pretty I looked into it if there may be some issues
that I have with Bricscad, may better solved for my liking.
But what I see is that ARES works exactly the same.
(So for me it has also exactly the same issues)
Even the Settings are like a copy.
So is Ares Bricscad or Bricscad Ares ?
Or do all DWG compatible Apps always mimic ACAD behavior 1.1 ?

Or do all DWG compatible Apps always mimic ACAD behavior 1.1 ?Yes. They have to, in order to sell to the large number of Acad users, who tend to complain if they find even slight differences.

And every DWG compatible App codes that same ACAD CAD base
for itself again ? (Until they add their own extended features)
Looks like Graebert at least shares (licenses) of that CAD core
with others0
