XREF NOTIFY TIME

Hi,
xrefnotify - doesn't work, when I save a dwg and then switch to another file (where the saved one is attached) - nothing happens. When other person is saving a file, a notification doesn't pop up as well.
It used to at the beginning (a year ago) on a BC v17, but now stopped.
xrefnotifytime is set to 0 or 5.
Any clues Would be appreciated., possible a sys var I have missed to turn on?
I am on latest BC relase.
