Block line thicknes

When i plot my plan all lines are a good thickness except blocks which just plot as a blob. Please help!

    Can you post a DWG file of one such block, and the CTB or STB file that makes it plot as a blob?

    Usually when I get blobby plots from colleagues (example attached -- grating) they're caused by entities in colors that are mapped by the CTB file to plot with entity color and lineweight, and the entity lineweights are all Bylayer, and the layer lineweights are all Default, because they left it at that without knowing what their Default lineweight is and without realizing that they were using it to plot certain colors.
