Mtext - Removing Character Formatting

In AutoCAD you can remove mtext character formatting easily in the mtext editor. I can't find the equivalent in BricsCAD.

I want to be able to strip the character formatting from some mtext objects so I can return to controlling fonts \ colours \ size etc by changing the object settings in the Properties Manager instead of in the mtext editor.

Anyone able to provide some suggestions \ thoughts here?

  • A workaround is to open the text in the mtext editor, select all text, cut the text (not copy) and then right mouse click within the mtext editor and select "paste as text" from the pop-up menu. This removes all character formatting.

Then there are the options of using the addons ToolPac (by DotSoft) or CADPower (by DesignSense) which have a command/tool that strips character formatting from mtext objects.
