What is the proper venue for reporting bugs?

Just select the right category so it gets assigned to the right people, which speeds up the process.

None of that says submit a bug. Am I supposed to submit a support request?

Yes. Support Request contains all possible issues
to select from. Bugs, Feature Wishes, ...
