Connect plank ends

It's a pity that the ends of two 'planks' (minor faces of linear solids) can't be Connected together in mitre or two L-alternatives. What's recommended?

The one illustrated was eventually done by Slicing one by 3-point on the diagonal, and Subtracting the other from it.

  • You are right, they reject to do what I tell.

The only way that I currently see is to temporarily increase their
Thickness between major Faces > to make them believe they
    would be Walls.
Then they will do what ever I tell them.
And reset the boards Thickness after.

    BTW,
what irritates me mostly with BIM Connect is that it refuses to work
when 1 or 2 Objects exceed over the crossing,
and you need to cut them first so that BIMCONNECT can extend their
    Lengths to butt/miter them.
Elsewhere I am used that the Objects recognise at which ends they
were selected and so either extend or shrink their overlaps to cross
    when necessary.
(Same for a 2D Tool to connect 2 Lines at their virtual cross point)
