Video of the conference
As most of us will not be able to attend the 2018 conference in London this year we will no doubt look forward to the event being shown on the Bricscad website or YouTube.
Can I make a small request however?
Can the camera person who is filming please show what's being demonstrated on the big screen when a speaker is presenting. Last years conference video seemed to be mainly showing close ups of the speaker whilst the live audience was able to see what was being demonstrated on the screen.
Thanks

That is a very good idea.

Maybe even run two cameras, one fixed on the speaker and the other on the screen. Then the editing part becomes much easier when it comes to presenting what is important. Relying on a camera operator not understanding CAD and what is important in the presentation, might end up in what we had last year.

This gets my vote as well, I am actually attending the conference in London, but if you haven't seen the program this year it is a two day event and is split across 3 different rooms so lots going on, and even being there you can't get to see everything, so I'd love to catch up on all of it.

Some venues have the facility to record the output direct from the presenters laptop/device.

I think it is worth the effort as people like me watch these videos.
Most of them rom last year even a few times. At least content and speaker to have the options,
which will need video editing work later.
Could be even a bunch of passive camera-men-less-cameras and
all done in post.0 -

Good point,
I noticed this too. The person who did this was someone we hired to record the conference.
We will take this feedback into account when we brief the camera man this year :-)0 -
I think it is not easy to do Camera, Regie, recognizing Content and all that
at a time. Separating into raw footage and post production may be more
comfortable.0 -
If I had a choice of seeing only the speaker, or only the video he has up on screen, I would definitely choose the screen. If they use the mouse pointer, rather than a laser pointer, to indicate things on the screen, that makes it even better.

I read the Twitter stuff about the Conference so I am already spoilered.
But I can't wait to finally see the Videos0 -
It was great being there. But so much was being presented! it will be nice to go through it all again. Does anyone know when the videos are going to be online.

I think last year it took at least a week (?)
It was great being there.
So why Erik got only "Standard" ovation ?

Ha Ha I blame automatic spelling correction software.

BTW
I am pretty enthusiastic about what I have (not yet) seen so far0 -
For a conference that began with edgy corporate-dangerous soundtrack London Calling - The Clash
what a shame that the closing video didn't work at the time - perfect tongue-in-cheek (I think?!) sign-off to an often hilarious conference of a truly 'different' company!0 -

There is no way to make them bigger or fill the screen.

^ After clicking the Link and the Video starting in thumbnal view,
Right Click on Thumbnail Video > Open Frame in New Windowbut Youtube says Video not available though.
(For the Clash video, maybe copyright auto Lock from Youtube)0 -
I dont get the right click to work. You need to make sure that the video links become hyperlinks so they open in a player when you click on the link.

Hi guys,
You can watch the movie here!
We are going through the footage of the conference as we speak. This will be available early next week.

Maybe a Safari macOS only option ...
But you can go straight to Bricsys on Youtube.
There is already a Playlist Item for 2018 Conference,
with that one Entry of the second Video postet above.I think the other (gone) Video was locked for the Music.

I've changed the Clash - London Calling link to a great video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfK-WX2pa8c
try again! Click on the > above then once it's loaded (in Firefox) R click on it and select 'This Frame'. Click on the tiny one to stop dual-tracking!

Works well now .....

Then there was the afterparty @ Cafe de Paris, Soho
They got fully half the room dancing - totally joyous.
See in the front row the Brics developers, younguns and veterans, boss Erik - and me bottom right.
Leaving 1am, Underground locked and barred, walking to bed across cool, empty London, just like student days - magic!0 -

Well done with the videos Bricsys.
I watched a couple of them today and they were very good (as are some of the new features of V19).0 -
That's me on the right 2 posts up.
I don't see the video for the BLADE presentation in the playlist, I certainly hope it finds it's way in there, so many points I want to go back and see again.0 -
Thanks for the Videos,
it is perfect this time with Speaker/Video Screen Timing.(Just the sound is a bit low (vs Intro Music) and some people
moved out of stage light a few times)But it is the content that is mind blowing.
I am totally impressed by what the developers did for v19.0 -
Sound a bit low? Such a strain to hear, I give up till it's been fixed, if that's poss. I've emailed Rose about it.

No, I meant just the general volume level.
Normally I use 40-50% Volume, for these I need to go 80-90% Volume
to understand. But will bleed out of my ears if I forget to adjust and
switch to other Videos.0 -
For me, too quiet even at 100% on both the video and the computer.
