  • Oh,
I think in the past in Microstation I had a Scale Tool just like
    Move, Copy, Rotate or Mirror,
where you could either lock certain Axis by checkboxes to scale
by graphical input in one or more Axis,
or directly apply values for each axis, with the ability to reuse
such numbers to go on and scale as much objects as you like later.

All those Tool Settings for all the Tools in the same single (!)
Option Panel, floating somewhere over your drawing near
    your cursor, if you wish.

You could use the Property Palette to edit Dimensions, Rotations
    Scales or Data either.

(In Vectorworks, beside the ability to do math in any input fields,
like e.g. adding a "*1.2" behind your Length to scale, Scaling isn't
    worth mentioning)

For me the Scale Tool mentioned on top is somehow more flexible
    than in Bricscad.

  • True, about Microstation. But at cost of a floating Tool Settings box, which infests MS tools generally.

Brics goes to great lengths to not resort to such, tho introducing (different purpose) the floating Quad.

However Brics seems to be increasing its use of the black bar thing at bottom of screen, for such supplementary settings, often for cycling thro with Ctrl.

I would prefer a single Interface or Palette over BC's two Palettes
with completely different UI, UX and Style.
And I would prefer to be able to click these Options over a Key.
(As my Pen, Hand and Cursor follows my Eye anyway)

I think everything that Bricscad does exceeding the ACAD Feature Set
    is super great.
But I think those glitches are just Tabus and locked for any changes.
For ACAD compatibility in technical reasons itself or for 3rd party
development and SDK compatibility or just to provide ACAD
    user experience.
That might not change until in a decade, when finally all ACAD users
and vertical development moved over to Bricscad and Hexagon ....

    But in this case,
I think there could come a new 3D Scale Tool, like we already
have for Mirror and Rotate, which could contain such non-proportional
    features.
