What's with the Dynamic UCS Axis??? I see what they're trying to show, but how are they set or better yet, how are they controlled???

Comments

  • They are controlled by the Edge's angle, by which you enter the Face.
Second feature is that once your DUCS is oriented,
you can lock it by pressing SHIFT.
So you can also draw outside of the highlighted Faces ...

  • Doesn't appear to be consistent. Working on the tutorial project, if I come in the from the top, it get what's shown in the first capture.

  • Here's a quick video showing some of the inconsistencies and how turning off Snapping effects things.

    I see ....
    I wasn't successful yesterday either ...
I thought I'm "holding it wrong"

That's different from what I learned in an early Bricscad Video.
I tried in Shape v18 Mac.
It works fine here on a simple Extruded parallelogram-like Polyline.

Even when I create a similar hole in it like in your case.

    EDIT,
maybe it needs Edge Selection activated for this, like Shape has
and in Bricscad I use Solid Selection only ?

  • Looks like a bug, we are investigating it. Thanks !
