Components and target solids

When moving, coping or mirroring components they lose associativity with solids they cut. Is there a way to re-associate them - as with dimensions (Reassociate Dimensions) ?

  • Can't see the video on Mac.
But it is very good, that opposed to BIMDRAG,
Move or PushPull ignore Bim Connections.
Otherwise you would never get things apart anymore :)

For a Moment I thought that any touching Objects behave
as connected for BIMDRAG, but that behavior may have
changed over Bricscad Versions or also be influenced by Settings.

Beside that, there is BIMCONNECT, which got a few new options,
    for butted Connections, with v19.
Which should do what you need.

    And again beside that,
there was a little Bug where BIMDRAG lost or ignored conections
Connections in some special cases, which was found and fixed for
the latest Version as I was told today.

  • In BricsCAD Shape and BIM there is the _BimWindowUpdate command that will do this for window components. Not sure if there is a 'mech' equivalent.

  • When I read Roy's post I realize I misunderstood the whole Question.

But as far as I know for Inserted Elements like Windows,
you can COPY them and copies will keep insertion - as long as
you copy them inside the same Solid.
    (AFAIK even Arrays worked)
Not when copying them to the next Wall though.
