add an entity to an existing block

How to add an entity to an existing block without having to re-create the entire block?

Comments

    1. Anything you draw during a RefEdit session becomes part of the block being edited.
    2. That includes anything you paste from the Windows clipboard during the session.
    3. The RefSet command, executed during a RefEdit session, allows you to move objects from the rest of the drawing into the block (Add), or vice versa (Remove).
  • Or use the BEDIT (Block Edit) command.
    See https://help.bricsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011896753-BEdit
Double click the block to start the command.

  • Thanks, that's what I needed. As you can see I'm just learning the program.

  • BEDIT means you can't see the Block in context of the rest of the drawing, so you can't use REFSET as described above, or manual equivalent. REFEDIT does it all in context, for example allowing any new elements in the Block to be placed in alignment to elements not in the Block.

  • Thanks Tom. Yes, I found that out when I tried to use it. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
