Make Component (Profiles) that are a Block Reference as welded and in shape for Materials BIll

Is there another way to make profiles from the components browser library as they would be cutted for welding, but still keep their information for the Bill of Materials?
And look like how they will be after they are cut for welding?

    I'm struggling with the same question.

    The only way I seem to be able to modify, e.g., cut holes, chamfer, LConnect, etc., components is to BmDissolve them first, which loses the size information, even if I BmForm the solid back into a mechanical component. We must be missing something.
