BricsCAD "mechanical approach" for drawings for BIM

Hello community,
I wonder after seeing this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szPH5aOg7p4&list=WL&index=2

Is this approach applicable also for buildings? I mean the style of making baseviews, sections out of them in the same file? Did someone work this way with buildings? I though that this is the way like CAD should work, but BIM in Bricscad works different by exporting sections to blocks in separate .DWGs. Then You have to switch to drawings and update viewports, set layers in the different generated files to look the same in plot tetc.
Why the BIMsections have diferent approach than mechanical and what are benefits of this approach?

It seems more natural to work "in mechanical approach" and also, all my drawings would be in the same file on different layouts.

Cheers
