2 starter questions: How to keep walls connected to eachother? Way to connect to grid?
Just started with BricsCAD BIM (with a little experience from Revit LT). Followed the basic tutorials and now trying to go a little deeper. And I was wondering:
1 - I have multiple walls that I connect to eachother. How to keep them connected when I move one wall to another place? There doesn't seem to be a connection between the two.
2 - Is it possible to connect for instance a wall or a building to a grid? That when I change the gridline the wall changes with it?
I know...these are newby questions, but I cannot figure out if (and how) to fix this? Many Thanx for your replies!

First question solved:
1 - Use the BIM-drag tool: https://help.bricsys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016537493-How-to-use-BIM-Drag
Second question still open!?

2.
No, not possible to bind Walls to a grid.
Same as Slabs can't be bound to Story Heights. On the other hand, with direct modeling tools, like BIM DRAG,
you can move a slab vertically and all touching walls will follow.
Or if you change a Grid Line, you can select a Face per each related
Walls and drag them all at a time, without losing connections.Bricscad has a destructive modeling approach with clever Tools.
Once used to that workflow it shouldn't be slower than more
parametric modeling approaches.0 -
Thank you for your reply Michael!

Hmmm...in the video from the Bricsys Help files the standard option with Drag is that entities stay connected...in my version it is standard that they are disconnected and I need to use the control to adjust this setting. Is there a way to change the standard value?

Yes, unfortunately that changed lately.
But there there should be a setting variable to switch back to previous,
if I got that right.
I just forgot which. It was in some BIM Thread lately .....
