i have a border that i bring in as a block, and now i cannot delete it, edit it...???????

    The only thing I can think of is if the block's layer is locked. Maybe that layer wasn't locked in the source file, but it is locked in the target file?

    If that's not it, I suggest you post the file here. Somebody's sure to be able to see what's wrong.
