can you freeze off Layers in one viewport but keep it on another one?

is it possible to freeze off a layer in a viewport similar to the way you would do in autocad in order to show a particular layer in one viewport but then not show it in another viewport with-in the same paper space?

  • Yes, it can be done the same way.

    One method:
Adjust the LAYFRZ settings to freeze layers in the current viewport, instead of the entire drawing.
At the command line, enter LAYFRZ. Enter S for Settings, then Enter V for Viewports, then Enter V for Vpfreeze, then Enter.
LAYFRZ will now freeze layers in the current viewport only, instead of the entire drawing.
Double-click inside the Viewport and use LAYFRZ on desired layers.

    Alternatively:
Go to desired layout tab an double-click inside the Viewport.
Type LAYER to get into Layer Manager.
Select desired Layer and toggle VP Freeze.
