Tracking - entering dimensions from tracking point

I'm finding the establishment of a tracking dimension keyboard input box very uneven (and frustrating): After locking the track point (perpendicular in purple) and moving the cursor - sometimes the dimension box (with 526.5632 in the attached photo) appears and sometimes it doesn't and worse it appears and disappears without reason. Are there settings which make this work consistently? I'm on V21 lite. 2d drafting.

    This is most unusual and I can't seem to reproduce it.

    Could you check if your settings in Dynamic Input (DYN) are correct?

    This sounds like a bug in an early V21 release that was fixed in a maintenance release.

    Thanks Kin, Program was only showing 2 DYN points that's why they were disappearing, thanks!
