Drag open

Hello.
I have a problem with "dragopen" command.
It is set to open dragged file, but whenever there is existing block on drawing, drag and drop makes block of dragged file instead of open it.

This happens with me as well when dragging a file into the drawing window.

If you drag the file onto anything in BricsCAD but the drawing window, e.g. an empty part of the ribbon area, the menu bar or the application title/filename area or even the command window area, it should open as a file instead of being inserted into the drawing as a block.

Hello,
good old rule "always use drag & drop" with the *RIGHT* mouse button :-)
then a popup menu will appear what to do ... "open", "insert" and so on, depending on dropped file type.

That are good solutions to circumvent a problem, but I still want to know how to drag it directly, like it should... :-)

There is also DRAGOPEN setting (system variable) which defines whether to 'Open' or to 'Insert' the dragged dwg file ... maybe that helps as well ?
