Command for -LAYDEL

Hello, I use -LAYDEL a lot to delete layers/entities quickly in my LISP routines. It does not appear that BricCAD has a similar command despite being able to go to the layer manager and deleting layers in the similar fashion, though by hand.

Is there a similar command in BricsCAD? I can achieve similar results using an "_X" ssget, but I find the deleting of layers to be generally more thorough (and quicker A-Cad) as it will get rid of entities in blocks and redefine the blocks.

  • Hello,
    the LAYDEL and -LAYDEL commands are part of ExpressTools ... there is such (freeware) "ExpressTools for BricsCAD" by a 3rd party developer;
    up to & incl. V21 version is in BricsCAD AppStore/AppCatalog;
    for V22 it is directly available at the developer's website :
    https://www.cadwiesel.de/cw_download_01.php?id=266

    that version has LAYDEL command, but not -LAYDEL; so far, no difference, both versions are running in commandline.

    hope that will help you ?
