OTF font support

Does BricsCAD have full OTF support yet? If not - any idea what the blocking problem is? I know some years ago Linux support was an issue but as far as I know OTF is now natively supported.

  • I am wanting to know the same thing. Just added an OTF font to Windows and can use it elsewhere. It's not showing up in BricsCAD when trying to select a font in a text box.

Hopefully, someone will provide an answer.
  • Neither BricsCAD nor AutoCAD support OpenType font with PostScript outlines. Only TrueType fonts or OpenType fonts that use TrueType outlines could be used.
To determine if the OpenType font contains PostScript outlines, select and open the Font file in Windows Font folder: this information is provided under the name and version of the font .

You can try to convert OTF to TTF via some online converter.
