Windows above plan section cut

Anybody have a good way for BIM-generated plans to show high windows above the section plane, such as clerestories? Often, depending on what's happening below, we would conventionally draw openings in the walls for those as for any other window, even when the section plane doesn't literally cut through them.

  • If you want full control on 'cut away' geometry, the best thing to do is add a reflected ceiling plan at the same place of your regular plan. You point them to the same 2d drawing. In the modelspace of the 2d drawing you place the 2 section resultblocks on top of each other. You can use DRAWORDER to put the reflected ceilingplan in the background.
The way section types are defined is set in
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Bricsys\BricsCAD\V23x64\en_US\Support\Bim\Sections\_SectionSettings.dwg.
By default the plan and reflected ceilingplan are defined in the same way, You can change the settings in this file and then it will be used in all new sections.
