[BricCAD Application store] Where to/ How to publish my App for BricsCAD

Story in short:
I have been granted access to BricsCAD BRXSDK and BricsCAD Ultimate V23. I did a try to convert from a small AutoCAD .NET project to BricsCAD .NET project. Now, I have an App (totally free) for BricsCAD, but I don't know where to publish it, except my website.
I 've carefully checked my Bricsys account, checked Bricsys App Store, there is no "publish" option or something like that at my side.
I once asked the Bricsys staff who granted me access to BricsCAD BRXSDK & BricsCAD Ultimate V23, but didn't get a reply yet.

My questions:
1. Could anyone let me know: Where to/ how to publish an App for BricsCAD?
2. In case the App cannot published to BricCAD Application store, should/ could this sub Forum create a thread for free App contribution?

  • You should register as a developer. Then you will see the "My Programs" menu in your personal account. I do not remember how I did it, but if you do not find the link, then write to technical support. It's not all that difficult.
    However, I'm not sure if users will find your program if it's only in the app store...

    Thank avc for your reply

    I did register and received a message: "You’ve been approved as a BricsCAD developer and I just created an NFR V23 key for you in BOA.....". I can download BricsCAD SDK and was given a BricsCAD V23 subscription.
    I 've signed in:
    https://www.bricsys.com/en-us/developers
    https://my.bricsys247.com/app/project/150/quick-access
    and check my accounts in both places. There is no such "My Programs" option in my personal account.

    I did write a mail to technical support (the guy who grant me access), but it seems that he was so busy to reply.

    Publish on Store or elsewhere, I just want to do something in return before my BricsCAD subscription end in late March.
    I've got a look at Bricsys sub forums, publish App in Misc category's thread should be legal, right? :)
  • Thank NigueTufnel.
    I've signed in & got:
    "Access denied
    The page you tried to access is restricted."
    message try to navigate the link https://boa.bricsys.com/protected/applications/
  • Post in other forums, what it does and if Autocad and Bricscad. Autodesk has a appstore. If you have a website, forget how can get Google to add you program in its search engine. Repeat for as many as possible.
  • Hi NTCL,

    Could you try again visiting https://boa.bricsys.com/protected/applications/ ?

    It should work now.

    In case of problems, don't hesitate to file a Support Request: https://boa.bricsys.com/protected/support/NewSupportRequest.do
  • @RubenDBricsys
    I've seen new features unlocked in my Account profile. Thank you.
    @ALANH
    Thank you for the advice.
  • Interesting, Thanks for the link!

    From a developers point of view, Autodesk store has an excellent feature set, app testing, installers, payments, licensing so developers don’t need to spend time on handling keys.
    Maybe Cadsoma will provide a nice feature set, serving the smaller CAD platforms that don’t have the time or resources to push innovation in their market places

    @Tom Foster
    Thank you for the interesting link.
    However, Cadsoma seems not to support developers from most Asian, Africa, Australia, South America countries. There are only 43 countries in its list.
    @NigelTufnel
    Agree with you about Autodesk store.
    Until now, the most time-consuming part when I do a test project for BricsCAD is to build a loader module.
  • I've seen my App live on BricCAD Application store today (March 3rd), just 1 day after "request release" sent
    The illustration images look quite bad since I didn't exactly crop them to fit Maximum supported dimension: 950x400 pixels. Fortunately, I added a video.

    Thank you all.

    In principle, CADSOMA supports developers from all countries worldwide. If your desired country is not listed, please send a mail to hello@cadsoma.com and it will be added. Thanks!

    Thank you for your information.
    Here is my experience with Cadsoma:
    On July 14th, I received an invitation from Cadsoma.
    On July 28th, I saw the invitation in my Spam folder and told Cadsoma about limited number of countries in the list.
    On the same day, I got reply, problem fixed and I can create a Cadsoma account.

    The registration process is quite simple, there is no fee until 2024. The fee is still unknown. A visa card is required for testing fee charge.
    Cadsoma payment system supports Paypal and Stripe. I left some settings for Paypal method (Client Secret, Webhook ID) blank.

    I tried to upload a free App for AutoCAD and a free App for BricsCAD. The App approval process finished in 24 hours.
    From my download tracking history, it seems that there is no download of my AutoCAD free App for the past 30 days. For the same period, the BricsCAD App got 12 downloads (I doubt that the downloads come from BricsCAD App store, not Cadsoma store).

    I really hope that Cadsoma can become an alternative App store.
    AUTODESK App store is still very good, but their QA specialists are overloaded. I have 5 Apps waiting for review for 30+ days there.
  • Cool info, I haven’t seen them advertising, they should be putting adds on cad tutor or somehow be active in the community.
    Probably a bit hard to compete, I.e. people tend to go to the app store of the product.

    Bricsys is the only app that does not have an app section on their ribbon. Whenever one of my apps is on the featured bar in Acad, I get 100s of downloads per month.
