Smoothing jagged LIDAR?
Hi, we recently received LIDAR for a project but the line's are a bit of a zigzag (see attached). does anyone know how we could convert this into a smooth curve? I've tried converting to a spline but it just ends up as a wave. If anyone knows how we could turn this into presentable contours any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is each vertex a located point? If so, how come the points are a strictly alternating zigzag? Does the machine fire rays in pairs, one of which has got de-calibrated? Does this look reliable, even before you start smoothing the curve?0

Each point is it's own vertex, not really sure why it's like this, it was like this when we received it.0
