Nested Block vs Attribute value (Inherited value)

Is there any way to define an attribute for a parent block and to get automatically the value in an attribute of a nested block (child block) whenever the value is changing on the parent block? Thanks for your Help. I wish the attribute value could be inherited. An example would be very welcome. Thank you for your help. BR
