Label Style Editor dialog box

Hello,

is it possible to change the contour labels to have decimals?

major contour set to 10.0m and minor to 0.5m
but the labels don't show the decimals

(the white numbers are the default style and the yellow ones are texts with the right height of the contour)
as shown in the picture above the labels are wrong on the minor contours

I checked the Label Style Editor dialog box for contours but can't find the right option to change the decimals.

also, can someone explain what those shortcut in the text contents does:
<[Surface Elevation(Um|P0|RN|Sn|OF|AP|GC|UN]>

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Matthias

  • Just change P0 (no decimal places) to P2 (2 decimal places)
    <[Surface Elevation(Um|P2|RN|Sn|OF|AP|GC|UN]>

  • Thanks Sakko!

    exactly what I wanted

do you have a link to what those shortcuts do?
can't find them on the help page or anywhere else
  • I submitted a support request concerning the meaning of the formatting strings and here is the answer:

The documentation of the formatting strings is not yet up to date since these are new additions to BricsCAD.
The meaning of the codes (with the value in brackets):

Um - Units (meters) > Uft for Units (feet) for example
    P0 - Precision (0)
RN - Rounding (normal) > can have values RN (normal), RU (up), RT (truncate)
Sn - Sign (negative) > can have values SN (negative), SBN (bracket negative), SA (sign always), SD (drop sign), SBL ("(" Left prentice), SBR (")" Right prentice), SH (hide negative value)
OF - Output (Full) > can have values OF (full), OL (left of decimal), OR (right of decimal)
AP - Decimal separator (period) > can have values AP (period), AC (comma)
GC - Digit group separator (comma) > can have values GC (comma), GS (space), GP (period)
FP - Ratio (percent) > can have values FP (percent), FPmill (per mille), FRise (Rise:Run), FRun (Run:Rise), FD (decimal)

An easier method will be implemented to add label contents expressions in the future.
  • Very similar to CIV3D way of describing labels.

    how can I open it?...
    I'm using bricscad Pro V23.2.06(x64).

  • Open the Civil Explorer using the CIVILEXPLOREROPEN command.
Then select Settings View from the drop-down list

Under Label Styles right-click on a style

    Then click on Edit

The Label Style Editor dialog box will be displayed...!! :)
