How do you prevent your 3D resin-printed models from breaking into pieces?
I 3D printed an action figure model using resin. The model accidentally broke. My friend suggested that if I use ABS-like resin to 3D print movie or video game figures, the models would be as durable as ABS and less likely to break easily. Does ABS-like resin have enough durability to prevent breakage?

Hi Apollo
The standard fast resins supplied with your printer are notorious for their brittle nature.
Yes there are many resins available that are much more durable.
Try the esun abs like or syria tech blue for better results. Most manufacturers make a suitable
more durable resin. Be sure to use printer settings for individual resins as the exposure times matter.
You can also get better results by paying more attention to post processing using a UV light
or plain sunlight.
There are many posts on line explaining the procedures such as immersing the model in cold water
and exposing to UV. this also prevents warping and distortion.
To better utilize your fast resin you can try mixing a flexible resin with it
although I have not tried this myself.
Resin printing like any manufacturing process is a learning exercise.
It's an adventure so don't give up.
Best of luck.
