BCAD v24 - Cannot change the BG Color from Gradient Gray in anything but 2d wireframe?

Tried BKGCOLOR = 256, or . or NONE or whatever...cannot get this to change from a dull gradient background?

Went thru the Options menus as well...

I'm sure it's me...but where is the setting for this?
