Edit BOX dimenssions
Hi,
I created a BOX (Modeling - BOX).
After I create this BOX, is any options to edit length, with or heigh ? Only thing I can do is to move it.

Unfortunately not.
Bricscad is a "destructive" Modeler, there is no modeling history or parametrics.
Neither for Boxes nor even is there a parametric Rectangle object.
But of course you can edit the Box and have several options.
E.g. If you want to increase the length for 8 m to 10 m :
In Face Selection Mode, select the first (length defining) Face that should stay,
now also select the opposite Face.
There will appear a dynamic dimension showing the current distance between
Faces, here 8 m (for the box length).
Enter the new desired 10 m distance and press Enter.
You can repeat it for width or height.
Or by Push Pull Tool.
Also in Face Mode, Select the Face to move,
hover over with cursor to bring the QUAD panel.
Activate (Modeling) Push Pull and a enter 2 m value that the Face should move
to change the Box length to 10 m.
(Or you could also snap to some other point to define a distance)
Initially the DYNDIM value starts from the selected Face position.
If you need the DYNDIM starting from the opposite face as you may only
know the final length of the box (should be 10 m),
you can hover over any other Faces and press TAB key to cycle through
al Faces under the cursor to change the DYNDIM origin to a specific Face.
You can move your Face Selection also by Move Tool, Manipulator.
Or Scale the box.
And maybe there are even more options.0 -
Ok, Thanks for clarify.
I use Push/Pull. But I was thinking is a better way to have more control.

'Ang on, most 2D entities report at least some of their dimensions in Properties and can be directly edited there, without requiring History - just reading current state from the file. Seems like that homeworks's not been done to create similar facilites for solids.0

I know that, but in this case, BOX, seems it can't edit from propertiesTom Foster said:'Ang on, most 2D entities report at least some of their dimensions in Properties and can be directly edited there, without requiring History - just reading current state from the file. But, push/pull face is enough for me.
