Hey all,
Is BRICSCAD a good software for designing complicated true curtain walls and later for glass and cutting orders?
I know there are suitable softwares as ATHENA CAD or SYSCAD , also the INVENTOR and REVIT.
I dont have the time to learn and mostely practice new softwares and i have a lot of pressure in the work.
I have been drawing and designing for 30 years ( i'm 50 y.o) only in AUTOCAD 2d\3d, but the 3D is not enough now for designing complicated things.
Can i find any examples of designing curtainwalls, in BRICSCAD, can it be designed in DIRECT MODELING as in REVIT, INVENTOR etc.?

Thanks in advance.

  • This might be 1st step but was what the client wanted.

  • Hi,

we did this with manual 3d-modelling last year for training purposes in half an hour. It's easy with BricsCAD because of boundary detection, the quad and dynamic UCS. (System MBJ with wood mullions / T-M profiles)

With SYSCAD you could do this in 5 minutes if the system is in the library. (System HUECK TRIGON)

So you could decide between your time and your costs.
