Add GIS Features - is it possible to add values automaticly from geometry (elevations) to gis field?
Hi.
I have a contour lines layer that I need to add to GIS layer.
is it possible that the Elevation value will automaticaly added to a gis field?
1. I created a new "Line" GIS layer in the civil explorer.
2. I created a field of "Real" type and named it "Elevation.
3. I use the "Add GIS Feature" to add the contour lines to the GIS layer, but can't get the contour lines geometry elevation values to be imported to the gis "elevation" field.
any idea anyone?...
thanks,
aridzv.

Hello.
I couldn't find a straightforward solution to achieve the desired task.
Something that might be useful would be to adjust the field for multiple entities at once.
If only polylines are used, first add them to the GIS layer, without setting the field value.
Then, select the polylines based on their geometric Elevation property - use the Properties panel with Quick select.
In the end, still in the Properties panel, adjust the field of the GIS layer - GIS properties are in the lower part of the panel.
