Block descriptions not saving

When I open a block in the block editor and apply a description (in this case a part number), the drawing that the description was applied inside of will show the block description in the drawing manager. I am also saving the bock as a file before leaving the block editor.

Then, when I close that drawing and drop the saved block into a new one, the description isn't there.

I'm trying to apply part numbers to all my blocks so that I can use drawing explorer to count all my parts when the drawing is finished, but this problem prevents me from doing that.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    This also happens when I explode a block, purge the drawing, and then create a new block and define the description on block creation. I then save with wblock to an entirely new file. Opening a new drawing before adding the saved block, no description.

    There must be a reason for this…
