Focus problem click twice

Hi

This happens when Bricscad application loosed the focus, because you ALT+TAB into another application or because for instance you issue the MASSPROP command, save to a file and then come back to Bricscad

What happens then is that you have to click twice into the bricscad window / application to work again, which is quite disruptive of the workflow

something similar I believe was described in the discussion below, especially by juan palacio azorin user

this problem appeared first when I was using version 23 on windows 10, then dissapeared now I have it again using version 24 on windows 11

Any ideas?

  • If you use a lisp for massprop then you will not lose focus.

  • Hi ALANH

thanks, I will try that too, but the MASSPROP command was just an example, it happens every time you switch application and then want to go back to BRICSCAD so hopefully it will be solved considering that, like said, for some time this was actually solved, and seems like the developers are aware of it

Can you explain what your doing in terms of another application. If say excel may be able to do I know have a getrange that once you select range jumps back to Bricscad. It does though not jump to Excel 1st need to look at that. May need some form of Windows function. Will do some more home work.

If you do a new or open existing for Excel it does become current window, but once you change back to CAD have to use ALT+tab.

    Hi

I am not doing anything more that what described above, maybe in steps

    1. issue command MASSPROP
    2. select region
    3. say: yes I want to save on file
    4. save the file
    5. the focus returns to Bricscad
    6. I press ARROW UP to recall the MASSPROP
    7. now when I click and drag with the mouse to select the next region: it does not work, Bricscad does not react to the mouse action, I have to click again, then I can select the area and only then the command works

    hope this makes it clearer

this also happens if for instance

    1. you are working on Bricscad
    2. then click on an Excel window
    3. click back on Bricscad drawing area, for instance with the centre button to drag, or with the left one to select: nothing happens you have to click again for Bricscad to react to the mouse command

    Thanks for listening

  • Pretty simple whilst the massprop is now on command line need to press Enter to execute the command.

Try press enter or space bar rather than up arrow, worked for me
